NOTES:
This version of VMENU includes an install program, such
that you can change the VIRUSCAN directory, and in the
event that you delete the VMU_OP.DAT file, it can be
replaced by running install. An improved options
configuration is included, which is MUCH better than that
in version 1.01 and document correction 1.02. If you
were wondering why the program started out at version 1.01,
it is because before I wrote this program, VMENU was a
batch program, and it never got released because there it
was little more intuitive than the command line.
DISCLAIMER
VMENU was not developed in any manner by McAfee and
associates. Zink Software Development is not affiliated
in any way with McAfee and Associates. VMENU is in no
way a replacement for VIRUSCAN, and does not in itself
have the ability to detect and remove viruses, however,
VMENU is a more intuitive environment from which to use
VIRUSCAN than the command line. VIRUSCAN itself was
developed by McAfee and Associates, without any
influence by ZSD, but VMENU was created by ZSD alone,
with no influence by McAfee and Associates.
McAfee holds the copyright of VIRUSCAN, yet Zink
Software Development holds the copyright of VMENU.

What is the purpose of VMENU?
VMENU was developed to make less complicated the use
of VIRUSCAN virus detection software. VMENU is a menu
driven interface between you, the user and VIRUSCAN. This
menu interface eliminates the necessity of those annoying
/ commands that optimize VIRUSCAN's performance, although
it is still necessary to insert the path to scan when
asked.

Using VMENU:
Important:
Before using VMENU, you MUST run the INSTALL
program included in the zipfile, but you do not have
to replace the VMENU_OP.DAT, since it is already
included in the zipfile.
To startup VMENU, type "VMU" (no quotation marks).
After you finish reading the introductory screen,
you are presented with a list of selections. The commands
should be pretty straightforward. On the right side of the
screen, you see a concatenation of windows, showing the
various options (i.e. path, mulitple scan, etc.).
On the current options box, dark white means that the
option is DISABLED, and bright pink means it is ENABLED.
To change the option configuration, hit <F1> at the main
menu, then type the number of the option you want to
change the configuration for (press Enter). It will ask
you if you want to enable it, if you type "Y" or "y", it
will enable it, otherwise, it will disable it.
To change the path to scan, select it from the main
menu, then enter the path.
IMPORTANT: To select a directory, always end with a
backslash(\), to select a drive, type the
drive letter, followed by a colon(:).
